About

Mixing hard rock with rap, Capitol Eye (I-Man [vocals], Mike Long [bass], Sauce [guitar], DJ Hellnaw [turntablist], and Sloppi [drums]) fits in perfectly with such musically similar and chart-topping acts as Cypress Hill and Limp Bizkit. Singer I-Man initially broke into the music biz as a member of tha Mexikanz for several years, but had quit by the late ’90s, looking to form a more aggressive and rock-based outfit. After meeting Mike Long in a bar, the duo recruited the other members, leading to opening gigs for such varied acts as Cypress Hill, Limp Bizkit, the Vandals, Method Man, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Pennywise, 311, and TSOL. July 2001 saw the release of their debut recording, Mood Swingz, issued on the 77 Records label.
